I recently bought an old SeaRay with Mercruser I/O 4.3 motor. We are in process of making it work. I visited Bill's Marine in Portsmouth last week and spent about $50 on parts & oil. Today, another $43 for filters and stuff. Both times I had motor, trans, and outdrive serial numbers, to get the right parts, etc. Today, as I was leaving, I asked the clerk, "Oh, by the way, how about putting my name and engine info into your computer, so I don't have to keep bringing in the serial numbers? It would help us both."

His reply floored me. He said (essentially) that privilege was reserved for people whose boats their shop worked on.......... not my engine!

In the words of Menachan Begin, "NEVER AGAIN!" will I trade there!
